The Letter also talks about correspondence in general, reminding us of the importance of keeping in contact. Christmas is a good time for that: sending and receiving cards, connecting with people we may not have heard from for a while. The Letter can also show the necessity of leaving a paper trail, and keeping our accounts in order.
These days, the written word takes so many forms: letters, emails, texts, tweets, blogs. Then there are things like receipts, invoices, contracts, articles.
